Battery Drain

Normal Battery Usage

SIMtrix Bridge is designed to be extremely lightweight in the background. Under normal conditions, it should consume less than 2% of battery per day. The app maintains a lightweight WebSocket connection that uses minimal power. If you see significantly higher battery usage, something may be misconfigured.

Causes of Excessive Battery Drain

Frequent reconnections: If the app keeps losing and re-establishing its server connection, it uses more battery. Fix your internet stability or Wi-Fi settings. Call recording: Active recording uses more power due to microphone usage. This is normal during calls. CRM overlay: The overlay fetches data during incoming calls. This brief activity is normal and uses minimal extra battery.

Optimization Tips

Use Wi-Fi instead of mobile data when possible — Wi-Fi maintains connections more efficiently. Ensure you have strong cellular signal; a weak signal causes more retries. Keep the app updated to the latest version, which may include battery optimizations. Do not force-disable all battery optimization — SIMtrix needs to be exempt, but other apps should use normal battery management.

Frequently Asked Questions

SIMtrix shows as the top battery consumer on my phone
This can happen on phones that aggressively kill other background apps. With fewer apps running in the background, SIMtrix may appear as a top consumer even though its absolute usage is low (e.g., 3% of a total 10% background drain). Check the actual mAh consumed rather than the percentage.
