Add or Remove SIM Cards
Per-SIM Billing
SIMtrix uses per-SIM quantity billing. Each active SIM card connection counts as one unit on your subscription. Adding a SIM increases your monthly bill by one unit; removing a SIM decreases it.
Adding a SIM
To add a new SIM, install the SIMtrix Bridge app on another Android phone and log in. If the phone has two SIM cards, both are connected and each one is billed; remove the one you don't need under Phones & SIM. A new SIM works right away. On monthly plans your card is not charged at that moment: the SIM is billed only for the remaining days of the current billing period, and this amount is added to your next payment. On yearly plans, the rest of the year is charged right away.
Removing a SIM
To remove a SIM, go to Phones & SIM in your dashboard and click "Remove". The SIM stops working and is no longer billed. Your card is not refunded; instead, the unused days are deducted from your next payment. Your subscription always includes at least one SIM, so removing the last SIM does not lower the bill below one SIM. You can restore a removed SIM later under "Removed SIM cards".
Proration
Each SIM is billed only for the time it was active. On monthly plans, adding or removing SIM cards never charges your card on the spot: a SIM added during the billing period adds a prorated amount to your next payment, and a SIM removed during the period reduces it by a prorated amount, so you pay everything in one payment. On yearly plans, an added SIM is charged right away for the rest of the year, and a removed SIM reduces your next payment. If you have cancelled your subscription, added SIM cards are charged right away and removed ones are not deducted. The "Next payment" line in the Billing section shows the amount including these changes. Paddle, our payment processor, calculates this automatically.
