Add or Remove SIM Cards

Per-SIM Billing

SIMtrix uses per-SIM quantity billing. Each active SIM card connection counts as one unit on your subscription. Adding a SIM increases your monthly bill by one unit; removing a SIM decreases it.

Adding a SIM

To add a new SIM, install the SIMtrix Bridge app on another Android phone and log in. The new phone appears in your dashboard under Phones. Your subscription quantity is automatically increased and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period.

Removing a SIM

To remove a SIM, go to Phones in your dashboard and deactivate the phone entry. The SIM count on your subscription decreases at the next billing cycle. You will not be charged for the removed SIM from the next billing period onward.

Proration

SIMtrix uses asymmetric proration: adding a SIM charges you immediately for the remaining days in the current period. Removing a SIM does not issue a refund — the reduction applies from the next billing cycle. This is handled automatically by Paddle, our payment processor.

Is there a maximum number of SIM cards?
There is no hard limit on the number of SIM cards per account. Enterprises with hundreds of SIMs are supported. Contact us for volume pricing.
Can I temporarily deactivate a SIM without removing it?
Yes. You can set a phone to "inactive" in the dashboard. The SIM is no longer billed but retains its configuration. Reactivating it is a single click.
