Grant Required Permissions
Phone permission
When you first open SIMtrix Bridge, it will request the Phone permission. This allows the app to make and manage phone calls on your behalf when triggered from Bitrix24. Tap "Allow" when prompted.
This is the most critical permission. Without it, SIMtrix cannot initiate or detect calls.
SMS permission
The app requests SMS permission to send and receive text messages through your SIM card. This is essential for the SMS integration with Bitrix24. Tap "Allow" when prompted.
If you only plan to use call features and not SMS, you can skip this permission. However, it is recommended to grant it for the full experience.
Microphone permission
Required only if you want to use the call recording feature. The microphone permission allows SIMtrix to record both sides of the conversation during phone calls. You can skip this if you do not need recordings.
Display over other apps (Overlay)
This permission allows SIMtrix to show a floating CRM information panel during incoming calls. When someone calls you, the overlay displays the caller name, company, and deal information from Bitrix24 — right on your phone screen. Go to Settings > Apps > SIMtrix Bridge > Display over other apps > Allow.
On some phones, you need to navigate manually to grant this permission as it cannot be requested via a standard popup.
Notification permission
On Android 13 and above, notification permission must be explicitly granted. SIMtrix uses notifications to show its persistent foreground service indicator and to alert you about incoming commands. Tap "Allow" when the notification permission dialog appears.
Disable battery optimization
This is not a permission dialog but is equally important. Go to Settings > Apps > SIMtrix Bridge > Battery > Unrestricted (or "Don't optimize"). This prevents Android from killing the app in the background, which would disconnect it from the SIMtrix server.
This step is critical for reliable operation. See the Battery Optimization article for brand-specific instructions.
